Medium-deep crimson. Praline, demi-glace and slightly tarry aromas with accompanying cassis leafy notes. Rich and concentrated with ample mocha, demi-glace, waxy polish, redcurrant cassis flavours, fine bittersweet tannins and roasted walnut notes. Finishes chalky/almost feathery. A very well-balanced wine with attractive density and fruit power.
Very compact, juicy ripe, finely layered and close-knit wine with attractive density, richness, and fruit sweetness. (NB)
Remarkably fresh and bright with luscious blueberry blackberry dark plum fruits, faint mint and fennel seed. Lithe and steady with assured length. (NR)

Cassis, roasted walnut and tobacco notes. Still quite oaky with firm chalky tannins. Not going to improve.

Deep crimson. Fresh dark chocolate, mocha and pure blackcurrant aromas. Generous, sweet fruited multi-layered wine with dense pure blackcurrant pastille and mocha flavours, superb mid-palate viscosity, fine ripe/grainy tannins and integrated oak. Wonderful powdery finish. Everything in balance. One of the great vintages of the decade.
Like the sky at night. You might not see the infinity beyond but it s there. A magnificent wine with extraordinary density, layered complexity and power. (NB)
Rose garden and dark cherry fruit, velvety textures and sappy notes. A hint of coconut adds sweetness, but dusty tannins give a firm dry finish. (JR)
