Medium-deep crimson. Intense black cherry and dark berry aromas with black olive and smoky liquorice notes. Richly concentrated and dense with deep-set black cherry, blackberry and liquorice and fine plentiful/animated tannins. Finishes fruit sweet but the tannins are chalky/slinky firm. A classic St Henri vintage.
Nuanced ripe red and black fruits with some herbal complexity. Round, harmonious and densely layered with ample richness and compact dry tannins. (NB)

Medium-deep crimson. Fresh black cherry, herb garden and meaty aromas with touch of soy and demi-glace. Full-bodied and substantial with black cherry, blackberry and fine brambly/dry textures with underlying sweetness and viscosity. Finishes chocolaty, leafy firm with graphite notes. A muscular wine.
Exotic spices, raspberry and boysenberry fruit with a subtle fine, shale-like quality to the tannins. (NR)
Intense dark cherry fruit, meaty, leathery aromas with dried plum notes. Richly flavoured, sweet and vibrant with structured power. Quite delicious and built for the long run. (FW)

Medium-deep crimson. Intense dark chocolate, mocha, blackberry and liquorice aromas with roasted walnut notes. Richly concentrated and supple with smooth blackberry and dark chocolate flavours, fine velvety tannins, some roasted chestnut and panforte. Finishes chalky firm, long and sweet. A very good year for St Henri, it could end up like the 1971 (one of the great St Henri vintages of all time).
Tightly structured with intense fleshy redcurrant, blackberry fruits and compact firm dry tannins. (NB)
Big, ripe and generous with fleshy dark fruits, bitter chocolate, liquorice notes and well-knit fine tannins. Powerful with very good depth of flavour and spiciness. (JR)

Medium-deep crimson. Intense rose garden, dried herb, dark cherry and praline aromas with some cedar complexity. Lovely and inky cassis, blackberry, dried herb and rose garden flavours. Fine supple yet grainy tannins, beautiful inky richness and long integrated acidity. Finishes firm and minerally. A classic Claret style.
A stylish St Henri which travels well across the palate until the finish. (JH)

Medium-deep crimson. Intense wax polish, blackberry and praline aromas with herb garden and liquorice notes. Well-developed blackberry, dark chocolate, roasted coffee and panforte flavours, fine plentiful chalky tannins and long indelible acidity. Finishes chocolaty firm and persistent. An impressively structured and richly flavoured wine that will last a long time.
Pure and seductive with black fruits, soy and spice. Beautifully balanced, fresh and energetic with silky smooth richness. (NB)

Medium-deep crimson. Roasted coffee, cranberry and raspberry pastille aromas with roasted walnut complexity. Attractive redcurrant, red cherry and raspberry fruits, fine slinky/al dente tannins and soft acidity. Finishes chalky firm with cola and herb notes. May improve with time but already quite sinewy and dry.
Suave and graceful with smoky cherry, liquorice and violet aromas, focussed density, long chewy tannins and allspice complexity. (JR)
Tight in structure with lovely plum fruit, aromatic spice notes, generous but not lush palate and high-toned coating fine tannins. (FW)

Medium-deep crimson. Intense blackberry, mulberry and cassis aromas with herb and dark chocolate notes. A lovely rich, ripe and dense wine with pure blackberry, mulberry, dried plum fruits, plentiful and persistent fine powdery/chalky tannins and emerging panforte notes. Finishes chocolaty dense and minerally long. A very impressive wine on the riper end of the spectrum.
Monolithic in structure with dense and ripe redcurrant, raspberry and blackberry fruits with chewy persistent tannins. A pippy bitterness gives a welcome extra dimension. (NB)
Fresh brambly dark fruits and cocoa on the nose with a lovely glossy buoyant, sweet-fruited and gently supple palate. (FW)
2009 «««« Drink now to 2045.
Medium-deep crimson. Fragrant dark chocolate and herb garden aromas with aniseed notes. Well-concentrated dark chocolate and rose garden flavours, fine plentiful but sturdy tannins, underlying blackberry and raspberry notes and a long brambly finish. Very firm and muscular in style with plenty of exuberant fruits.
Highly perfumed and expressive with plenty of blue fruits, incense and harmonious tannins. (JR)
Raspberry berry and leaf, liquorice and cocoa, a suggestion of tarragon. Classic St Henri surefootedness. (NR)
