ORIGIN
South Australian multi-regional blend: Barossa Valley, Coonawarra, Padthaway, McLaren Vale and Wrattonbully.
FERMENTATION
Stainless steel tanks with header boards. All components complete fermentation in new oak barrels.
MATURATION
18 months in 100 percent new American oak hogsheads (300 litres).
COMMENTS
Not made from 1970 to 1975, nor in 1981, 1995, 2000, 2003, 2011 or 2017. Available in all Penfolds markets. Packaged in laser-etched bottles from the 1997 vintage onwards. Released under screwcap in some markets since the 2005 vintage.
