Medium-deep crimson. Fresh blackberry, cassis, black cherry, dark chocolate, ginger and five-spice aromas. Beautifully concentrated black cherry, cassis and liquorice flavours, ripe and dense chocolaty textures, rose garden and aniseed notes and pronounced indelible acidity. Finishes chalky firm and minerally. A great St Henri vintage.
Beautifully composed with ripe blackberry and raspberry fruits and fresh liquorice graphite notes. Very stylish and silky with a very intricate weave of succulent fruits and extra fine-grainy tannins. (NB)

2012 ««««« Drink 2023 to 2045.
Medium-deep crimson. Intense blackberry, dark plum, mulberry and brambly liquorice aromas. Plush and richly flavoured with ripe blackberry, mulberry, dark chocolate and liquorice flavours, roasted walnut notes and fine plentiful chalky/muscular tannins. A chocolaty grippy firm finish. Plenty of torque in this wine.
Bright, flowery, detailed and textured with an energetic crunch of raspberries and blackberries. (NR)
Plenty of elegant black cherry and mulberry, sweet spices of clove, cinnamon and chocolate. Medium bodied compared to 2010 with a fine sweet tannin structure. (FW)
2013 «««« Drink soon to 2035.
Deep crimson. Exotic mulberry, dark cherry, violet, Turkish Delight, herb garden and chinotto aromas. Rich, concentrated and soupy with juicy mulberry and kirsch flavours and brambly textures. Finishes sinewy firm. Once the fruit develops the tannins will start dominating.
Charming and naturally balanced with dark cherry and gently spicy notes. Initially soft and ripe but the tannins build up vigour across the palate. (NB)
Brooding blue and black fruits with dark chocolate, liquorice and earth notes. Still youthful with smoke and spice. (JR)

Deep crimson. Fresh elderberry, blackberry, camomile, praline, aniseed and herb garden aromas. Concentrated, exuberant and elemental with elderberry, blackberry and dark chocolate liqueur flavours, attractive negroni notes and classic fine grainy tannins. Finishes chalky firm with an aniseed kick. A superb vintage.
A powerful wine with the balance to last the distance. (JH)

Deep crimson. Intense dark cherry and dark chocolate aromas with elderberry, aniseed, herb garden and tobacco notes. Richly concentrated with dense elderberry, red cherry and mulberry fruits, plentiful chocolaty tannins and underlying mineral acidity. Finishes al dente, slightly grippy firm with lovely mineral length.
Vivid black fruits, mineral graphite, liquorice aromas with enticing floral top notes. Beautifully layered silky tannins and plenty of succulence. (NB)
Sweet, round and seamless with fragrant cherry liqueur and incense aromas and fleshy smooth velvety textures. (JR)

Deep crimson. Intense elderberry, blackberry, liquorice and aniseed aromas with dark chocolate notes. Massively concentrated dark plum, elderberry and blackberry fruits with dark chocolate notes and fine dense chalky-firm tannins. Finishes chocolaty with cherry liqueur notes. A powerful wine built for the long haul. A superb St Henri vintage.
All the hallmarks of the classic St Henri style. (JH)
A very pretty nose of lifted violets and crushed black cherries with sweet spice and cocoa. Gorgeous exuberant palate with abundant juicy fruits and fine plentiful tannins; nothing overbearing or heavy. (FW)
2017 ««««« Drink 2028 to 2045.
Deep crimson. Intense elderberry, mulberry and bramble aromas with liquorice notes. A richly concentrated and exuberant wine with juicy mulberry and elderberry fruits, underlying roasted walnut complexity, plentiful dense chalky brambly tannins and fresh mineral acidity. Finishes chalky dry, long and sweet.
Hugely promising with very dark intense pure fruits and powerfully tannic structure. Very nascent, rich, glossy and grippy but should settle down with time. (NB)
Very primary, beautifully fragrant and berry-driven with the classic St Henri suppleness, surefootedness and easy grace already evident. (NR)
