2005 TO 2010 Drink now to past.
The bright, elegant framework of the Bin 311 Chardonnay style lends to persistent freshness over long-term bottle aging. Although predictions suggest that most vintages are past their best, some mature bottles may be drinking quite well especially if cellared in optimum conditions. 2009 and 2010 are good examples.
2011 «««« Drink now to soon.
Pale gold. Fresh and flinty with white apricot, white peach, tonic water and ginger aromas. Concentrated and creamy with white apricot, nougat, slight herbal tonic water flavours, fine lacy-dry textures and fresh acid cut. Finishes minerally and long. An elegant style.
Yellow plum, citrus and spicy ginger aromas with some floral notes. Bittersweet, tight and focussed on the palate with chalky grip at the finish. (JR)
Quite restrained and elegant with flinty lemon aromas, chalky textures and good oak integration. (FW)

A complex, slightly funky wine with positive clarity and purity of fruit on the palate. Showing all the advantages of being an unoaked style. (JH)
Some nougat and creamed honey, grapefruit and oatmeal. Very taut piano wires of pure acidity. (NR)
