Medium-deep crimson. Developed dried plum and chinotto aromas with leafy notes. Complex plum, raspberry leaf and silage flavours, fine loose-knit sinewy tannins, leafy mint/sage complexity. Finishes bittersweet. Cooler spectrum of flavours but still holding up quite well.
Restrained dark fruits with lightly minty notes and well-integrated tannins. A little dry at the finish but still has suppleness and freshness. (NB)

Medium-deep colour. A lovely aromatic wine with clear raspberry and redcurrant fruits, herb notes and underlying savoury oak complexity. Inky textured with sweet raspberry, redcurrant and mulberry fruits, lacy fine textures, attractive mid-palate viscosity and integrated savoury oak. Finishes grainy firm with a long tannin plume. A classic year and a timeless Coonawarra red.
Truly delicious wine with superb colour, clarity, rich fruit and remarkable length. (JH)

The wine has not developed well. The fresh red fruits have faded, and the sinewy firm tannins now dominate.

Medium-deep crimson. Developed plum, raspberry and graphite aromas with sage and mint notes. A generously concentrated fruit-sweet wine with plum and kirsch-like flavours, fine, supple and sweet tannins, minty notes, underlying vanilla oak and long fresh acidity. Finishes firm and sweet. A very attractive and plush style with plenty of fruit density, richness and vigour. Should keep for a while.
Exciting aromatic wine with redcurrant aromas and some maturation complexity. Deeply layered with lovely density of fruit, tannin quality and freshness. A long elegant finish. (NB)
Liquorice, lavender, baking spices, panforte and coffee. Sinewy and supple with a firm confident grip of tannins. (NR)

Medium-deep crimson. Intense dark cherry, blackberry and herb aromas with graphite dried leaf notes. Deep-set persistent blackberry, dark cherry and mulberry fruits, plentiful sinewy leafy tannins, attractive mid-palate viscosity and vanilla oak notes. Finishes grippy firm. Will still evolve.
This wine has it all, but the pieces are all sorting out their differences. A classic cellaring proposition. (JH)
Very tight and brooding nose with powerful sweet mulberry and black cherry fruit. The oak seems swallowed up by the fruit, but it appears again with a clove-spice complexity at the finish. (FW)

Medium-deep crimson. Classic ripe cassis, blackberry and mulberry aromas with underlying savoury vanilla oak and hints of herbs/capsicum. Enveloping rich cassis with mocha/vanilla oak notes, fine-ripe grainy tannins and capsicum leaf notes. Finishes velvety firm and long. A superb vintage.
Densely packed and darkly fruited wine with coal dust/minerally notes and fine persistent tannins. Really excellent fruit intensity and quality. Another long-haul prospect. (NB)
Plummy blueberry fruit with liquorice, Indian ink and sweet sage. A slippery/silky wine just starting to relax into itself. (NR)

Medium-deep crimson. Ripe raspberry, cranberry and cassis aromas with vanilla and a hint of fennel. Generous and supple with cranberry, cassis and chocolate-coated liquorice flavours, fine and plentiful chalky tannins and underlying savoury oak. Finishes al dente firm and minerally. Has a seductive allure with zippy freshness.
A round fleshy aromatic wine with blue fruits, spicy, violet, lavender notes and creamy textures. (JR)
Lovely fresh black fruits and floating vanilla oak notes. Crushed mulberries and succulent juiciness on the palate. Easy to drink now, but this has the power, concentration and fruit to go a long distance. (FW)

Medium-deep crimson. Intense ripe blackberry and raspberry fruits with ginger-savoury oak. A lovely concentrated wine with deep-set blackberry and ginger spice flavours, vigorous fine loose-knit tannins and integrated mineral acidity.
Still elemental yet powerful and expressive. Beautifully layered with promising cellaring potential.
Fresh, vivid and beautifully layered with brilliant fruit intensity and purity. The silky tannins are seamlessly matched giving superb harmony and persistency. (NB)
This has everything with rich and plush blackberry fruit, supple tannins and great line and length. (JH)
2017 «««« Drink 2024 to 2036.
Medium-deep crimson. Fresh, buoyant and elemental wine with creamy blackberry, blueberry, violet and white pepper aromas with underlying savoury nuances. Generous and supple with rich blackberry, mulberry, white pepper and herb flavours. Fine and sinuous tannins, underlying ginger oak complexity and integrated acidity. Elemental and muscular with exuberant fruit. Will settle down and develop well.
Relaxed, elegant and harmonious with excellent oak handling. (JH)
Juicy and attractive with lifted violet mint notes. A lovely sweet open palate with coating, but very silky tannins. A joy to drink now but will go much further. (FW)
2018 «««« Drink now to 2035.
Medium-deep crimson. Fresh redcurrant, raspberry and gamey/demi-glace aromas with herb garden notes and hints of black pepper. Beautifully proportioned and elegantly styled with pure and juicy redcurrant and raspberry fruits with some earthy notes, fine-savoury tannins and attractive mineral length. Finishes chalky/al dente firm. A pure expression of Coonawarra shiraz with House Style richness and volume.
