Deep crimson. Intense pure cassis and blackcurrant pastille, dried plum and ripe/jammy praline notes. Mulberry fruits, fine chocolaty-dense tannins and underlying savoury oak. Jammy and sweet fruited to finish, with ripe tannins and long/fresh slightly pronounced acidity. Generous, ripe and ready to drink.
A hulking wine with abundant dark fruits and massive structure. (JH)
Developed and tending towards overripe with prunes and mulberries and some mint and soy sauce notes. Seems a little disjointed and unlikely to come around. (FW)
