Penfolds Bin 150 Marananga Shiraz is a heartland Barossa style with exceptional vineyard provenance. The Marananga sub-regional characteristics of saturated colours, dark fruit profile and ripe tannins are enhanced by the Penfolds method of vinification and the use of hogsheads and puncheons. The oak management is deftly foiled against the weight and personality of each vintage giving a uniform flow and momentum across vintages.
A defining Barossa shiraz, instantly recognisable for its sub-regional character and authoritative Penfolds stamp. NICK RYAN

Medium-deep crimson. Fresh mulberry, blueberry, quince and liquorice aromas with malt oak notes and some roasted almond/polished leather nuances. Generous and inky, but medium bodied, with plentiful red and dark fruits, fine powdery tannins and malt, dark chocolate notes. Harks back to a traditional Australian Claret style. Still holding but an early drinking vintage; the fruit beginning to lose vibrancy.
