ORIGIN
Adelaide Hills, South Australia, from the Piccadilly Valley to Birdwood.
FERMENTATION
100 percent barrel fermented with 100 percent malolactic fermentation.
MATURATION
Matured for around 8 to 10 months in tightly grained French oak barriques of varying ages. Lees retention and stirring (battonage).
COMMENTS
Early vintages include some Tumbarumba fruit. Released entirely under screwcap since the 2003 vintage. Not made in 1996, 1997, 1999, 2001, 2002 and 2011.
This wine has all the great characters of Grand Cru chardonnay, but it s very
