Medium-deep crimson. Fragrant and intense blackcurrant and herb garden aromas with praline and vanilla notes. Very cabernet like with leafy cassis plum fruits, fine grainy slightly grippy muscular tannins, superb mid-palate richness and underlying savoury vanilla oak. Finishes firm and long with inky minerally notes.

A very fine and elegant stylish nose with fleshy ripe fruits and light graphite notes. Subtle and seductive with finely layered silky tannins and abundant succulent fruit. A dazzling success. (NB)

2015 «««« Drink now to 2035.

Medium-deep crimson. Intense blackcurrant, roasted beetroot and leafy aromas with graphite aniseed notes. Very attractive youthful wine with exuberant violet, cassis, elderberry and mulberry fruits with chinotto notes, fine plentiful al dente leafy tannins and long fresh acidity. Quite muscular but lovely rich dense vibrant fruit and well-matched savoury oak.

Lovely ripe crushed blackcurrant aromas with great purity of fruit on the palate. Wonderful balance of grippy tannins and juicy flavours. A great cabernet sauvignon for shiraz lovers. (FW)

2016 ««««« Drink 2023 to 2040.

Medium-deep crimson. Ripe blackcurrant and dark plum aromas with roasted chestnut, and vanilla notes. Dense cassis and dark plum with sage notes, fine plush tannins and underlying roasted chestnut

and mocha oak complexity. Finishes chalky firm, long and sweet. Lovely extract and richness. Needs more time to integrate.

Freshly ripe, already rounded and patterned. A very gentle graceful entry, superb quality tannins, abundant, potent fruit and fabulous depth. Exceptional. (NB)

A wine trying to get off its leash. A bit restrained and unresolved but it will get there. (NR)

2017 «««« Drink 2025 to 2045.

Medium-deep crimson. Roasted coffee, blackcurrant pastille, herb garden and slight minty aromas. Concentrated pure blackcurrant and roasted coffee flavours, fine plentiful al dente tannins with leafy complexity. Finishes gravelly/sappy with persistent dark fruits. Attractive richness and density.

Rich and rounded with perfect ripeness and superb tannin integration. A complete wine with the balance, density and vigour for long-term aging. (NB)

A brilliant magenta colour with spicy blue fruits and round tannins. Luscious and seamless in structure. (JR)

2018 ««««« Drink now to 2038.

Deep crimson. A classic South Australian cabernet with intense and fragrant pure blackcurrant and dark plum aromas, fresh sage and bay leaf notes and underlying mocha oak. Elegantly structured with persistent blackcurrant pastille, plum and dark chocolate flavours, fine-grained velvety tannins and mocha and roasted walnut oak. Finishes leafy/chalky firm with plentiful dark fruits. Generous and exuberant with all the elements neatly balanced.
