CLUB AUSTRALIAN TAWNY ««« Medium-tawny crimson. The style is typified by fresh stone fruit, redcurrant, crème brûlée, and nutty aromas with high-pitched aniseed and floral grape spirit notes. A sweet, mellow palate with nutty apricot and currant flavours, chalky textures, fine spirit and plenty of lingering flavour, depth and length. A classic commercial tawny style. With a minimum average blended age of three years, this wine is classified as an Australian Tawny.
CLUB RESERvE CLASSIC TAWNY «««« Medium-tawny crimson. Complex redcurrant, blackberry, earthy notes, roasted nut and orange peel flavours and aromas. A soft and fleshy palate with nutty and orange peel notes and a loose-knit chalky texture. A mellow tawny with a peppery/aniseed kick. More richness and weight than the slightly younger Club Tawny. With a minimum average blended age of five years, this wine is classified as a Classic Tawny.

A blend of multiple vintages to achieve consistency of style.
VARIETY
A core selection of mataro, shiraz, grenache and cabernet sauvignon and some legacy Australian-grown Portuguese varieties.
ORIGIN
Multi-region fruit sourcing from the warm-climate regions of South Australia especially the Riverland.
FERMENTATION
Fermented in stainless steel static fermenters and fortified with a distinctive Penfolds low-strength grape spirit.
MATURATION
Matured as separate components in very old seasoned hogsheads and quarter casks. A minimum average blended age of 10 years.
COMMENTS
A stylish Penfolds Grand Tawny showing a rich blend of fruit complexity and maturation characteristics. Introduced in 2014.
