Medium-deep crimson. Intense raspberry, strawberry, mulberry and apricot aromas. A lovely wine at optimum maturity with strawberry, apricot and mulberry fruits, demi-glace notes, fine loose-knit grainy tannins and underlying savoury flavours. Beautiful mineral finish with lacy tannin plume.
Classic spicy floral perfume and graceful style. Such a smooth and vibrant wine. (JR)
Alluring with fresh, ripe fruits and dried apricots, a fine silken weave and seductive vanilla oak notes. Finishes powdery with a soft blush of tannins. (NB)

Medium-deep crimson. Intense cassis, cedar and graphite aromas with chinotto/cola notes. Lovely developed cassis, blackcurrant, roasted chestnut and vanilla flavours, fine loose-knit grainy tannins and integrated but long acidity, attractive mid-palate richness and volume. A very expressive and delicious wine.

Medium-deep crimson. Fresh and inky blackberry, cedar and herb garden aromas with a hint of wet bitumen. A well-rounded and voluminous wine with lovely dark berry and mulberry fruits, silky fine tannins, attractive mid-palate chocolate/mocha richness and underlying toasty oak complexity. Finishes chalky firm with plenty of fruit persistency.
Reflects a difficult growing season but works very well . (JH)
Darkly fruited, pure and powerful with damp undergrowth notes. Fleshy and supple but plenty of supportive backbone. Finishes quite grippy and vigorous. (NB)

Medium-deep crimson. Fresh developed cassis, cedar and mocha aromas with leafy tobacco notes. A well-balanced wine with supple cassis, blackberry fruits and fine graphite tannins. A touch saline, with minerally notes and long fresh acidity. Tannins build up sinewy and dry towards the finish but still expressive and delicious.
A lovely wine with perfect fruit and tannin balance. Elegance without effort. (JH)

Medium-deep crimson. Intense mulberry and blackberry aromas with developing tobacco and dried rose notes with underlying roasted chestnut. A generously concentrated and inky-textured wine with supple mulberry blackberry fruits, fine loose-knit lacy tannins and vanilla malt nuances. Finishes assertively firm with integrated mineral acidity.
Elegantly structured like fine-boned porcelain with a wonderful weave of dark fruits, flowers and herbs and fine firm tannins. A valued expression of the vineyard. (NB)
On the verge of being port-like, with bitter cherry fruits, lifted coconut oak, spiciness and weight. (JR).

Medium-deep crimson. A polished and elegant wine with mulberry, praline and black olive aromas and shellac and graphite notes. Well-concentrated on the palate with developed mulberry and cassis flavours, roasted walnut oak notes and fine plentiful chalky tannins. Finishes inky and long. A medium-powered wine with a fine-boned structure and attractive mineral notes. Built for the long haul.
Primary and powerful, graceful and sweet-fruited with fresh cassis and dark chocolate aromas, wood smoke and espresso notes and fine tannins. (JR)
Rich and burly with opulent black fruits and tertiary meaty, savoury notes. A lovely warm vintage. (FW)

Medium-deep crimson. Intense black cherry and mulberry fruits with bramble, cedar and wax polish notes. Generously concentrated with deep-set dark fruits, panforte and cedar flavours with plentiful firm drying/sappy tannins. A touch rustic in character.
2008 ««««« Drink now to 2038.
Medium-deep crimson. Blackberry and mulberry aromas with dark chocolate, mocha and aniseed notes. A lovely generous wine with saturated blackberry, mulberry and dried plum flavours, fine and ripe but lively tannins, roasted chestnut and vanilla oak notes and well-integrated acidity. Al dente firm to finish. A classically proportioned wine from a very ripe year.
Vividly pure black fruits and very fine intricate weave of silken tannins. A deceptively potent wine. (NB)
Very youthful and bright with loads of coating tannins and a core of bright blackberry fruit. This wine is almost too young to drink. (FW)
2009 «««« Drink now to 2032.
Medium-deep crimson. Buoyant sweet mulberry, chocolate, liquorice, espresso and marzipan aromas. Supple and complex with dense mulberry, espresso and liquorice flavours, ripe but assertive tannins and plentiful marzipan and vanilla oak notes. Finishes firm with sprightly acidity and inky richness. In a good space but unlikely to become a great Magill Estate Shiraz.
Dark fruit and dark chocolate aromas with stewed notes and grippy clinging tannins. (NB)
Sappy, juicy and penetrating with plenty of energy and life. (JR)
