Multi-district blend, South Australia. Barossa Valley, Clare Valley, McLaren Vale, Langhorne Creek, Wrattonbully and Padthaway.

FERMENTATION

Stainless steel fermenters.

MATURATION

Approximately 12 months maturation in seasoned oak hogsheads and larger vats. A small proportion of new French oak (roughly 10 percent) in recent vintages.

COMMENTS

Originally released as an Australian Burgundy .

A longstanding Penfolds interpretation of a South Australian dry red .
