While each Penfolds wine is in itself limited, given the finite nature of each vintage, we occasionally release limited edition wines, including our Penfolds Special Bins.
They are equally sought after by wine collectors as well as wine enthusiasts, for cellaring or enjoying among friends.
Some limited wine releases include our Penfolds Superblend wines, Penfolds G5,Penfolds V, and the much celebrated Penfolds Ampoule – an extraordinary innovation containing wine from Penfolds prized Block 42, one of the oldest vineyards in the world.
All Penfolds Bin, Luxury and Icon wines will reward careful cellaring. However, the optimum bottle maturation period will depend upon the style, the format (size), and the vintage. Some wines are deliberately made for earlier consumption, whereas others are crafted for the long haul. We recommend looking at the individual tasting notes for each of our wines, where you can discover how long it takes to cellar each wine, including our limited edition wines.
At Penfolds, we treasure the uniqueness of every bottle. While most of our limited edition wines are beautifully presented in a Penfolds gift box, some are available without a box, ready to be slotted straight into the cellar. Penfolds offers Australia Post standard shipping for all our wines. Metro deliveries may be expected within 2 to 8 days, and regional deliveries in 3 to 10 days. Every bottle of Penfolds is special, so we take several measures to ensure your prized wines are cared for before and after your purchase.
When you choose standard shipping, a signature is requested to guarantee the right hands receive it. Customers are also offered the option to delay shipping if they don’t think they will be home to receive their order. Most of our orders are shipped by the next business day. However, we never ship during periods of extreme heat. Some Penfolds wines, such as Grange, are packaged in special thermal insulated shippers for an added layer of protection. Penfolds members also enjoy free standard shipping across all orders.
