In 2023, Penfolds welcomed NIGO as its first Creative Partner. This multi-year partnership has seen NIGO lead the creative vision for selected Penfolds projects, beginning with the global release of One by Penfolds — a range that celebrates ‘oneness’.
Oneness embraces both our differences and the connections that bring us together. Using his signature style, NIGO designed four animal motifs — a crocodile, rooster, panda, and bear — featured on the wine labels. These represent the four winemaking regions where One by Penfolds wines are sourced: Australia, France, China, and America.
Following this, NIGO reimagined our flagship with Grange by NIGO, marking the first-ever creative takeover of Grange. In 2024, we collaborated on a Holiday Gift Collection, drawing inspiration from Ichimatsu Moyou, a traditional Asian graphic pattern symbolising unity and prosperity. This release featured six collectible gift boxes in four bold colours.
Alongside the Gift Collection, NIGO designed four Furoshiki wraps — a traditional textile used to wrap and transport goods. Our most recent collaboration, Penfolds 65F by NIGO, debuted in 2025. Inspired by the iconic Penfolds chimney and reimagined by NIGO, this limited release is a classic Australian blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, matured in 100% French oak barriques and sourced from South Australia’s prized vineyards.
