A showcase of Barossa Valley grenache. A varietal that has thrived in the soils of the Barossa Valley since the 1840s and has been a part of our winemaking story equally as long. An approachable, medium-bodied wine with refreshing acidity and silky tannins.
In 2002, we celebrated a significant milestone, releasing our first single-varietal grenache expression under the Cellar Reserve range. This limited-release wine paved the way for a deeper understanding of grenache, a dynamic grape that lends itself to many unique styles and expressions. 2023 marked 21 years since that remarkable wine was made, thus “21” is the Bin number we have anointed this new Bin wine.
The inaugural Bin 21 Grenache release was sourced from vines in the Barossa Valley, some of which were planted as far back as the 1930s. The Barossa Valley's climate resembles the warm, dry regions of Europe, where the varietal's origins can be traced.
A wine that serves as both a tribute to our rich history and a glimpse into our future in winemaking.
