Each blend of Penfolds Club Reserve Classic Tawny is crafted utilising multiple vintages and varieties to ensure the maintenance of a consistent and complex wine, year after year. In an average blend, Club Reserve may utilise as many as ten individual vintages ranging from two to fifteen years of age.

Penfolds Club Tawny began its life in 1950 as “Penfolds Five Star Tawny Port”. Riverland is the principle fruit source for the early-drinking Club and Club Reserve Tawnies. After vinification pressings are added to give structure, vigour and balance. Individual components of Club Reserve are given extended maturation for a minimum average age of 5 years before blending and release.
