Penfolds Bin 600 Cabernet Shiraz is an emblem of our beginnings in California, a captivating narrative that spans almost three decades. In 1998, we imported a heritage selection of vine cuttings from our esteemed Kalimna and Magill Estate vineyards, planting them in Californian soil in a vineyard once known as Creston ‘600’ Ranch. As a homage to this legacy, Bin 600 derives its name from that vineyard, a testament to Penfolds enduring presence in our Californian wine narrative.
This remarkable wine gracefully showcases grapes from the original 1998 vine cuttings, an exquisite blend revered and championed by Penfolds in our modern winemaking era – quintessentially Australian yet influenced by Californian terroir and proudly bearing the ‘Penfolds Stamp’.
Exhibiting a beautiful core of generous red, blue and black fruits, Bin 600 is at once concentrated yet fresh Shiraz plays a pivotal role in anchoring the mid-palate with its abundant generosity, complementing svelte and structural cabernet.
With a rich heritage and a timeless tale that transcends continents, Penfolds Bin 600 Cabernet Shiraz captures the essence of our Californian range. It celebrates the journey that commenced decades ago and continues to flourish, yielding exceptional vintages that delight the most discerning connoisseurs.
