More than twenty years have elapsed since Penfolds winemakers first started seriously exploring the viticultural landscape of California, sampling an array of wonderful and inspiring wines. Between 1998 - 1999, vine cuttings from some of Penfolds most esteemed South Australian vineyards were selectively planted in Californian soil. These vines are thriving today and play a symbolic part in an endeavor that celebrates making wine in a different hemisphere ... ‘the Penfolds way’.
