PENFOLDS EXPANDS ITS PRESENCE ON LA PLACE DE BORDEAUX
Penfolds has appointed La Place de Bordeaux as an official distributor partner of our icon wines in Europe, coming into effect on 30th January 2024, in our 180th anniversary year.
With the addition of La Place de Bordeaux to our roster of esteemed trade partners across Europe, Middle East and Africa, we aim to accelerate growth by leveraging negociants’ extensive networks in the region, helping to unlock the significant further potential for prestige Australian wines.
Penfolds has been present on La Place de Bordeaux for two years with 2018 Bin 169 Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon the first Penfolds wine to be distributed through the network. The initial allocation sold out within the first few months after release in September 2021. The 2019 vintage was released in September 2022 and the new 2021 vintage is due to be released on La Place in March 2024.
The six-strong range to be distributed through La Place de Bordeaux, includes flagship Penfolds wines, including; Grange, Bin 707 Cabernet Sauvignon and Yattarna Chardonnay, will also be available through negociants La Place de Bordeaux from 30th January 2024. The selected group of 11 negociants, partner with Excellence Vin, the leading historical expert for the introduction of the iconic wines of the world on La Place de Bordeaux.
