The history behind Penfolds Bin 707 Cabernet Sauvignon
The full-bodied, rich, and powerful Bin 707 Cabernet Sauvignon, Penfolds first commercial release of a single cabernet-based wine, is linked to Max Schubert’s dream of making a great Australian red wine that could last at least 20 years. Today, Bin 707 carries the legacy of Penfolds pioneering spirit and can cellar for up to 40 years.
A renowned South Australian Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra and Barossa Valley, particularly the Kalimna and Koonunga Hill vineyards, have been at the heart of the Bin 707 Cabernet Sauvignon since the 1970s. More recently, Robe, Padthaway and Wrattonbully vineyards in South-East South Australia have been added to the sourcing list.
Bin 707 unfurls an impressive array of flavours. The palate is enrobed in velvety tannins, bestowing upon this wine an exquisite depth and impeccable structure.
HOW WE CARE FOR YOUR WINE
Every bottle of Penfolds is special, so we take several measures to ensure your prized wines are cared for before and after your purchase.
When you choose standard shipping, a signature is requested to guarantee it is received by the right hands. Customers are also offered the option to delay shipping if they don’t think they will be home to receive their order. Most of our orders are shipped by next business day, however we never ship during periods of extreme heat. Some Penfolds wines, such as Grange, are packaged in special thermal insulated shippers for an added layer of protection. Penfolds members also enjoy free standard shipping across all orders.
After-care services for your penfolds cabernet sauvignon
Penfolds care doesn’t end when your wine reaches you. Our Re-corking Clinics are the ultimate after care service, designed to assess and certify your prized Penfolds wines aged fifteen years or older. Since our first clinic in 1991, Penfolds winemakers have assessed over 200,000 bottles across four continents.
We also have a team of dedicated service representatives, who can promptly assist with any queries, product information or concerns via email.
